 | | | I keep abreast of current legal developments in criminal law so that I can draft persuasive motions to suppress evidence and other pre-trial motions. I attend numerous trainings, both put on by defense lawyers as well as police departments. For instance, I am certified in a common technique used in police interrogation called The Reid Technique. We locate and hire the best experts to assist in the preparation of your case and to best explain technical or counterintuitive facts to the jury.
Every client has the right to know all their options and make informed, reasoned decisions that advance their goals. Not every client will have a case that they will want to try to a jury. Even so, by preparing every case for trial, we are in a stronger position minimize the damage a criminal case will have on the client's life by negotiating from a position of strength. I am a zealous advocate, a skilled negotiator but I am also an excellent trial attorney and am prepared to go to trial and vigorously defend you when that is in your best interest.
My focus is on client centered defense: Making you understand what is happening, what the evidence is against you, and what possible avenues of defense we may pursue. We work as a team, with my legal assistant, trained and talented local investigators, and the you, the client. We make informed decisions, after obtaining all the evidence we can gather: witness interviews, photographs, documents, finanical statements, and background information all play valuable roles in determining how to proceed on the best possible course for each client.
